Discover Nakamura Tempu's Art of Mind & Body Unification

SPECIAL OFFER! As part of our ongoing effort to make Tempu-style yoga more easily accessible internationally, you can now receive two months of online classes for the price of one. That's June and July--24 classes--for just $55 (USD). It works out to only $2.29 per class! This is a limited time offer, and it's only available to new members of our nonprofit yoga dojo.

You can learn Nakamura Tempu's original Shin-shin-toitsu-do from anywhere in the world and from the comfort of your home!

Due to requests from folks worldwide, H. E. Davey has opened his classes in Tempu-style Japanese yoga and meditation to the public. For the past several years, his students in Japan, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the USA, India, and other nations have been practicing Nakamura Tempu’s groundbreaking Japanese yoga online and from their homes. These are adults of all ages and levels of health, who have joined our nonprofit yoga dojo to study Shin-shin-toitsu-do: Nakamura Sensei’s “Way of Mind and Body Unification.”

Now, you can as well. Here’s all you need to know to get started:

What: Authentic instruction in Nakamura Tempu’s original Japanese yoga, an art of integrating mind and body that’s existed in Japan since 1919, but which is rarely taught in English anywhere in the world. This is your chance to learn revolutionary methods of seated meditation, moving meditation, abdominal breathing exercises, autosuggestion, massage-like healing arts, stretching exercises, and more.

When: Beginning classes are presented on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 – 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM (US Pacific Time). There’s usually a period after each class when students can ask questions and receive correction. What’s more, even if you can’t attend at these times, each class is recorded and sent to everyone. It's viewable for up to seven days. Regardless of time differences or scheduling, anyone can participate.

Where: We meet on Zoom. Zoom is safe and easy to use. You can learn more about it here: https://zoom.us. It will work with your desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or even phone.

How: Legibly fill out a membership application for the Sennin Foundation Center for Japanese Cultural Arts and hand sign the liability waiver. Scan it or photograph it, then email it back to us. You can request a membership application HERE.

We offer a discounted fee of only $40 for the first month which includes 12 classes. After the first month, the membership fee in our nonprofit dojo is just $55 per month. You can send your payment using several methods: Venmo (U. S. residents only), PayPal (U. S. and non-U. S. residents), and Wise (Non-U.S. residents). The fees collected support our international dojo, and periodically we use them to donate money to worthy charities around the world.

Who:  H. E. Davey teaches all the classes. He's studied under four of Nakamura Tempu’s top disciples, including Sawai Atsuhiro, International Japanese Yoga Association President. Davey Sensei has practiced in Japan and the USA for over 50 years, he wrote the first English language books on Nakamura Sensei’s unique methodology, and he has the highest IJYA teaching certification. This last point is important. It indicates that he's studied Nakamura Sensei’s entire curriculum. Without detailed instruction in all of Nakamura Sensei’s teachings, which is only available to people with full teaching certification, it’s impossible to really understand how all its varied elements work together to form his Japanese yoga. At present, H. E. Davey is the only person in the world that’s studied all levels of the curriculum, who has IJYA teaching certification, and who’s offering classes in English to the public.

Why: Although we might phrase it differently, we’d all like to be healthy, realize our full potential, understand the nature of our true self, and experience our innate oneness with the universe. And lots of us have tried to figure all of this out before—sometimes for years—with little success. Too many approaches to the above subjects are vaguely explained, impractical, and perhaps impossible to boot. Our nonprofit yoga dojo is an opportunity to find new approaches to ancient truths. And it’s being offered online in English, and on an ongoing basis.

It's easy to join our Zoom classes. Just click the button below and tell us you're interested. We'll send you a membership application and detailed payment information. Contact us today to register for these life-changing classes!
